Saturday Night returns from a commercial break. All night long we've heard Devon Storm running his mouth, but with little to say really. The cameras fade in on the broadcast crew; Larry Zbysko and the Professor, Mike Tenay.
Tenay: "Fans, welcome back to Saturday Night! And Larry, what a show it's been."
Zbysko: "Indeed. We've already seen a few new faces around here. This little feud that looks to be boiling between David Flair and Devon Storm is entertaining though. I just wish Storm wouldn't come out here so many times for so few little words."
"Devon Storm has never been all there Larry."
"Oh I'll give him that. Storm's one of these guys that would just as soon hit you with a chair or something under the ring than actually wrestle. The guy's a lunatic. Have you even been listening to him tonight?"
"Unfortunately I have. At this time, I'd like to welcome out the object of Devon Storm's aggression, the son of the legendary Ric Flair, to join us."
While the announcers talk the camera pans back showing David walking out from the back. He steps to the side of the stage where the broadcast announce desk is located. As they speak, David climbs up the steps to them and grabs a headset beside Zybsko.
"David welcome to our little corner of the world here. We were just talking about your opponent for tonight."
David grins as he adjusts his headset
"Well, you know Mike, Devon's never really been all there. I know him probably better than anyone in this business. We spent alot of time on the road together. And this whole fassad he's putting on is just that. It's a shield."
"He sure seems like he believes everything he's saying. Actually calling himself the savior of WCW. Who does this guy think he is?"
"He's a little challenged I'll admit that.
"A little? The guy's a nutcase. If you ask me, WCW should do evaluations before hiring these lunatics."
"Well, I'd just like to point one thing out. Devon's been ranting all night long about using me as a stepping stone. It's just not going to happen."
"Devon Storm I'm sure has also been hitting a few sour spots by calling your father a has-been."
"Devon needs to realize that my father has nothing to do with our match. Ya know, Devon's really thinking he's getting into my head by talking about my father. My father is thee greatest...world champion of all time. I'm not talking about one of, I'm talking about THEE one.
Devon Storm keeps running his mouth about being one step closer to the world title. Everyone wants the world title, am I right Larry? I'm no different. I've got my eyes set for the world title one day. But I'm focused on tonight.
Devon Storm is going to have to run me over with his car if he wants to win tonight.
Let me tell you about something I'm tired of."
"It looks like we've started a fire with David here tonight!"
"You're right, there is a fire started under me Mike. And I'll tell ya what I'm tired of. I'm tired of all these guys walking out here one week, talking about how great they are and never backing it up. I'm tired of guys telling me...how great they are! For the last seven years I've been busting my balls trying to live up to my family name.
You can bet your bottom dollar Devon Storm doesn't have anything to live up to. What? Using trash can lids and barbed wire? I'm living up to a name of excellence. I've travelled the world over learning from the best! Carlos Colon, Keiji Mutoh, Ric Flair. Greatness. Greatness I've learned from. Men that I've trained with. World class talent.
Tonight, when I step into that ring with Devon Storm, I'm going to give him a wrestling clinic."
"Well, training with names like that it would be a clinic!"
"You just left out one great name, David."
David chuckles along side Mike Tenay as Larry's talking about himself.
"Well, David, it's great having you out here with us. Fans, stay tuned, we still have David Flair versus Devon Storm coming up."
